Fall in demand for electric vehicles could be trouble for Government

An unexpected decline in interest in electric vehicles could spell trouble for the Government’s green transport plans.

That’s according to Auto Trader who revealed that the proportion of new car buyers searching for electric cars on its marketplace has dropped from a high of 26%.

The fall started in late September when the ‘fuel crisis’ took hold dropping to less than 16% in February.

With fuel prices soaring on our forecourts amidst the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, James spoke to motoring expert and journalist Erin Baker.

They discussed whether this represents a trend in the industry that could worry climate activists.
