International Women’s Day: Dr Helen Pankhurst interview

Every woman in Britain owes a lot to the Pankhurst family – for their huge contributions to the liberation of women here in the UK.

Putting their lives on the frontline of politics, they risked so much to start the chain of events in 1918 that eventually won all women the vote.

London Live were joined by Dr Helen Pankhurst, great-granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst and granddaughter of Sylvia Pankhurst – who is leading campaigns today following in her family’s footsteps.
