The Evening Standard Step Up Expo Preview: WorldSkills UK

A two day event helping London’s parents and students navigate the vast and complex range of career, education and life choices is starting in the capital tomorrow.

The Step Up Expo is expecting 10,000 visitors to Olympia London over the Friday and Saturday – making it the Evening Standard’s busiest ever exhibition.

Henry caught up with Daisy from Worldskills UK, an independent charity helping the UK become a skills economy through raising standards in apprenticeships and technical education.

They support young people across the world via competition-based training testing their ability in the biennial ‘skills Olympics’.

They were also joined by Sai remotely who competed in the WorldSkills competition in South Korea last year – and took home a Medallion of Excellence in Cyber Security.
