West End stars mark record 15 years in ‘The Lion King’

Disney classic, ‘The Lion King’ has been a staple in London’s West End for nearly 25 years, and two of its cast members are marking an anniversary of their own.

Shaun Escoffery and George Asprey, who play Mufasa and Scar are both celebrating their 15th anniversary in the show.

With 24 global productions of the musical being in theatres around the globe, they are the longest serving performers in the roles internationally.

The pair have been chatting to Alicia about what it takes to do 15 years in one of Disney’s best-loved shows.
