‘Universal Credit isn’t enough for hardest hit Londoners’, says Trussell Trust as they report 30% increase in emergency food parcels

With the cost of living crisis still hitting the pockets of families across the capital, new figures from the Trussell Trust show they distributed 30% more emergency food parcels between April and September than the same time last year.

The charity is urging the Government to use the upcoming Autumn statement to do more to protect households on the lowest incomes as we near the Winter months.
